Get Down Deep Pore aftercare: first 48 hours and the week after

A lot of our facial guests tell us they “loved the facial” and leave feeling calm and taken care of. Keep that glow by protecting your skin for the next 24 to 48 hours: no sweating, no direct sun, no pools, and no makeup. Your Get Down/Deep Pore is an intensive deep-pore cleansing with extensive extractions and high-frequency therapy, so the skin needs quiet time to settle.
The first 24 to 48 hours: no sweat, no sun, no makeup (yes, it matters)
Right after a deep-pore extraction facial, your skin is clean and open, but it’s also a little reactive. In Pembroke Pines heat and humidity, the biggest thing that throws results off is sweat. We generally recommend you skip heavy exercise for 24 to 48 hours, especially anything that gets your face hot and flushed.
48-hour checklist: Cleanse gently, moisturize lightly, wear SPF, and keep hands off your face. Avoid sweating, direct sun, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and makeup.
What to do instead (simple, works with a busy schedule)
Wash with a mild cleanser morning and night. Pat dry, don’t scrub. Follow with a calming moisturizer and, in the morning, a broad-spectrum sunscreen. If you’re in Northwest Pembroke Pines and you’re doing school pickup or errands along the Pines Boulevard corridor, keep SPF where you’ll actually use it and reapply before you head back outside.
And please do not pick at extraction spots. That’s how a tiny, flat spot turns into a bigger red mark that hangs around.
Days 3 to 7: keep pores clear without irritating them again
If you loved how fresh your skin felt walking out, this week is where you lock it in. Your pores are already decongested. The goal now is calm, steady hydration and sun protection, not “doing the most.”
What to avoid for 3 to 7 days
- Retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, chemical exfoliants, peels, and abrasive scrubs
- Hot yoga, long outdoor workouts, or anything that keeps you sweaty for a while
- Tanning or “just a quick sun” without SPF
In South Florida summers, sun and sweat can sneak up fast. If you can, plan your Get Down/Deep Pore on a day when you’re not doing a midday soccer field situation. If that’s life, keep a clean towel in the car and blot sweat gently instead of rubbing.
A gentle routine that pairs well with extractions + high-frequency therapy
Our Get Down/Deep Pore focuses on extensive extractions and high-frequency therapy to clear clogged pores and help you establish a healthy skin routine. Aftercare should match that vibe. Think: clean, light, and calming.
AM (daily)
Mild cleanser, lightweight moisturizer or hydrating serum, then broad-spectrum SPF. If you’re stepping out in Miramar, Hollywood, or Weston for the day, bring SPF for reapplication.
PM (daily)
Mild cleanser, then a calming moisturizer. If you’re feeling dry, look for hydrators like ceramides or hyaluronic acid. Keep it fragrance-light if you’re sensitive.
If you’re itching to “fix” a breakout, pause. Post-extractions, that area is already working. Give it a few days before you throw strong acids at it.

Redness, tiny scabs, and “is this normal?”: when to reach out to us
A little pinkness after extractions is common, and some people get tiny dry spots or pinpoint scabs where congestion was lifted. That’s your sign to keep things gentle and hands off. Most of the time it calms down as your skin settles over the next couple of days.
Reach out sooner if redness, warmth, swelling, or pus sticks around beyond 48 hours, or if anything feels like it’s getting worse instead of better. We’d rather you ask than stress at home.
“I’ve been going to Blu Bliss for years and it’s always a great experience. Irica is amazing at what she does and really makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I’ve never been disappointed. Highly recommend!”
